The farm stand will be open on weekends through the winter, 12-4pm; weather permitting. As long as it is above 40 degrees, and not snowing or severely windy! The farm stand will be stocked with storage crops, microgreens, eggs, beef, chicken and more.
Winter farming requires a bit more perseverance, drive, and patience than farming in the other seasons. While the greens are slower to reach harvest size, their flavor is even sweeter than the main season crops. Root crops we usually have to shovel the snow off of before we can harvest them, although grateful for the added insulation that the snow offers. The hens continue laying eggs through the winter with the help of increased proteins added to their feed.
